Oruqo Community Guidelines

These rules apply to the Oruqo Circle Hub, lost-pet pages, “Found a pet?” and pet tag messages, and anything else people share on Oruqo. They are part of our Terms of Service. Oruqo has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.

Oruqo Circle Chat

Oruqo Circle Chat is one open community chat for everyone in Oruqo Circle who loves pets. All pets are welcome. All members can see each other’s display names and messages. There are no private messages. Before you join the chat or post, you agree to the Circle Hub Group Rules:

1. Be kind and respectful: no insults, bullying, hate or put-downs.
2. Keep it clean: no swearing or crude content.
3. Animals only: greetings and welcomes for newcomers are always welcome.
4. No spam or ads: no promotions, business links or asking for money without Oruqo's permission.
5. Respect privacy: don't post anyone's phone number, address or photos without their OK.
6. Advice isn't a diagnosis: share your experience, but always check with your vet.
7. No animal cruelty or harmful content, and no buying or selling animals.
8. Something wrong? Tap "Report" instead of arguing.
9. Oruqo may remove posts and members who break the rules. Repeat violations lead to a ban.

Keep it about pets

• Posts and photos must be about pets. One post per week in the Circle Hub feed.
• No ads, selling, breeding offers, rehoming for money, or spam.
• No contact details (phone numbers, addresses, emails) or links of you or anyone else in Circle posts or the community chat.

Not allowed anywhere

• Animal cruelty, violence, weapons or graphic injury.
• Nudity or sexual content, hate, harassment, bullying, threats or discrimination.
• Photos of other people, especially children, posted without their permission.
• Fake lost or found reports, reward scams, or asking for money to return a pet.
• Impersonating someone else, a veterinarian, shelter, partner or Oruqo.
• Anything illegal, or content you do not have the rights to share.

Report and block

Tap Report on any post, chat message or member profile that breaks these rules and pick a reason (harassment, swearing, spam or ads, privacy, animal cruelty or selling animals, or other). Reported posts are hidden from you right away and are hidden for everyone after several reports while we review them. Tap Block to stop seeing posts and messages from someone on any device. You can unblock people anytime at the bottom of the Circle Hub. You can also email support@oruqo.com with “Report” in the subject. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.

What we do

We may remove content, remove members from the community chat, ban members from the Circle Hub for a period of time or permanently (repeat violations lead to a ban), or suspend or end accounts that break these rules, and we may report illegal content or animal cruelty to the authorities. If you think we made a mistake, email us and we will take another look.

Stay safe

Meet in public places, never pay strangers up front to get a pet back, and contact local shelters, animal control and your microchip company when a pet is lost. In an emergency, call 911.
